Sadly, we lost our beautiful Birman boy 'Monty'. He was the most amazing cat and we would like to dedicate this page to him.
Sheryll at 'Four Paws Retreat' was recommended to me by Janet at 'Pet Fayre' in Maiden Place when I needed to house my Guinea Pig 'Jay-Z' whilst on holiday. As soon as I met Sheryll I felt very confident about leaving Jay-Z as she seemed a very kind and caring person, a genuine lover of animals. The guinea pig hutches were just like little luxury hotels, so much attention to detail and extremely clean. We have never looked back since and now have a new addition to the family, a Miniature Schnauzer called Harley. Although a little nervous about leaving Harley for the first time as he was only a puppy, I had no worries about leaving him with Sheryll as I felt reassured that he was in safe hands. Harley settled in immediately and we were able to enjoy our holiday all the more knowing he felt at home. Sheryll took really good care of him, he had lots of walks and made new doggie friends. She even found the time to email regular updates and pictures to reassure me all was well. Our only concern was that he wouldn't want to come home! I have since had no hesitation in leaving Harley with Sheryll and would highly recommend Four Paws Retreat to other owners. Thank you once again Sheryll for all your help and especially in accommodating some of our very short notice bookings, we feel very lucky to have found you.
Thanks Sheryll for looking after Flora so well again, and at such short
notice! It is such a relief to know that we can leave her with you for
the day, or longer and know that she will be happy, well cared for and
(best of all!) loved. You are a very important part of our lives,
allowing us to take a day out or a holiday without the guilt (for us)
and stress (for Flora) of using a boarding kennel.
One very positive side effect is that she is definitely much more relaxed and sociable since she has been staying with you and has had to learn to get on with other dogs. You obviously have a way with dogs and are able to provide them all with the attention and space that they need.
Thanks again, see you soon, no doubt
Very best wishes
Rosemary, Nigel and Daniel Rayner (And Flora!!!)
I had to leave my Standard Poodle 'Bella' at very short notice with Sheryll Knight for a week. I was a bit apprehensive but needed not be. 'Bella' had suffered an amputation recently and to leave her with a stranger albeit a very friendly one was quite daunting, considering 'Bella' needed numerous visits to the vet! And round the clock medication. I came back to find a happy, cheerful and very lively Bella. Super cared for in a lovely, warm and clean family home. Bella was so obviously happy at Sheryll's as there are always other entertaining animals - cat, dog, rabbit - to get excited about! I dare say that I have found the perfect person in Sheryll and the perfect setting in Sheryll's home for Bella to go to for a long time to come
